Consumables & usable amenities

Water

The cabin is on a well. We ask you to keep this in mind with water usage. Please conserve the best you can. We have not had any major issues and would like to maintain a sustainable water supply.

Towels (per visit/weekly)

Bath towel - 2 per person-1@Bathroom 1@Jacuzzi per 

Face cloth - 1 per person 

Hand towel - 1 in bathroom

Dish towel - 1 under kitchen sink

Bathroom

 3 rolls of toilet paper,  soft soap pump bottle on the vanity, shampoo and body wash.

Kitchen

One roll of paper towels, dish soap in sink dispenser/under sink, foil, plastic wrap, paper plates.


Condiments such as, salt, pepper, a mix of spices, olive oil.

Living room

Matches/lighter, fire starter material. Newspaper and other starting material can be left in the kindling box. NEVER USE LIGHTER FLUID TO START A FIRE IN THE WOOD STOVE.

BBQ items - We start the season with these full

Charcoal caddie, charcoal starter cubes for chimney starter, wooden matches.  


Our hope is that guests will keep the coal caddie filled with coal and if starter cubes  are getting low, please grab a package at Lowes/Walmart.

Information on our little cabin

Cabin - general info

The cabin is a 1 bedroom, one bathroom, 1000 square foot retreat. With both a front porch and rear deck, it seems a bit larger as far as living space goes. 

The yard

There is ample yard space. The driveway and fire pit are part of the level ground of the property and are very comfortable for relaxing in the sun.  PLEASE DO NOT BRING ANY FRONT PORCH FURNITURE OFF THE porch. There are two Adirondack chairs that are by the fire pit for lawn use. The  property line  of our neighbors up the hill extends relatively close to the back deck. We appreciate consideration to our neighbors as they are full time residents. 

Parking

A 400' long gravel driveway brings you from Buckeye Dr. to the cabin front door. It is level and gives all types of vehicles no issue in most weather conditions.

Front porch

The front porch is fully covered and  nicely outfitted with 2 Adirondack chairs, a half barrel table and a porch swing with its own side table. The front porch also has a small ceiling fan for those warmer days.

Back Deck

The back deck is not covered and is the main grilling area for the cabin. The deck has 2 chairs and a small table for snacks and beverages. The wide deck rail does a very nice job holding a beer and a glass of wine.

Wifi

We have wifi though Satellite by Viasat.

We like to cook and hope you do as well

4 large plates, 4 medium plates, 4 small plates, 4 bowls, plastic mixing bowls

Glassware

Misc glassware including, full size, rocks size, juice glasses, coffee mugs, wine glasses, champagne  glasses,  etc

Appliances

Stove & oven, microwave, slow cooker, coffee maker, food processor, toaster, and blender.

Miscellaneous

1 roll of paper towels, paper plate holders, paper plates, plastic storage containers

Cooking items

We do our best to keep salt, pepper, mix of spices, olive oil etc.

(please do not throw away empty shakers/bottles - we will refill or replace if we notice them empty)

Storage/Charcoal "Kaddy"

To help store and pour charcoal, a charcoal "Kaddy" is here for your convenience. This is a pay it forward storage. If you have extra, please leave for guest that come in after you - feel free to use what has been left behind for you when you arrive.

Towels

There are 2 bath towels and 1 wash cloth per person in the bathroom upon your arrival. A hand towel by the vanity as well. This is a per week.

One liquid hand soap, one body wash and one shampoo are in the bathroom

Jacuzzi tub

After a long day of hiking, relax and wind down in the bedroom Jacuzzi tub.

Dresser

Dresser will be empty.

Closet

Coat hangers, extra blankets, iron & small ironing board, games, vacuum, extra pillows.

Ceiling Fan

A slight breeze can make for a great sleeping environment.

Smart TV & DVD Player

Wall mounted 43" wide screen smart television & Blue Ray DVD Player. The TV in the bedroom is a smart TV and can be used with Netflix, Prime video, Hulu, and other movie services. There is also a DVD Player for movies. A Red Box is located at the Dollar Store down the street. Currently the cabin does not have dish or cable. 

Living room

Sofa with pull out bed 

Smart TV & DVD Player

Ceiling Fan

With a fire in the wood stove and 20' ceilings, getting the warmer air down is helpful. The fan is a great way to keep the air moving in the warm and cold months.
