Consumables & usable amenities

Water

The cabin is on a well. We ask you to keep this in mind with water usage. Please conserve the best you can. We have not had any major issues and would like to maintain a sustainable water supply.

Towels (per visit/weekly)

Bath towel - 1 per person 

Face cloth - 1 per person 

Hand towel - 1 in bathroom

Dish towel - under kitchen sink

Bathroom

 2 rolls of toilet paper, (per Bathroom) soap pump bottle on the vanity, shampoo and body wash in the vanity.

Kitchen

One roll of paper towels, dish soap in under the sink, foil, plastic wrap, paper plates.


Condiments such as, salt, pepper, a mix of spices, olive oil should be in a cabinet

Living room

Matches/lighter, fire starter material. Newspaper and other starting material can be left in the kindling box. NEVER USE LIGHTER FLUID TO START A FIRE IN THE FIRE PLACE.

BBQ items - We start the season with these full

Charcoal caddie, charcoal starter cubes for chimney starter, wooden matches.  


Our hope is that guests will keep the coal caddie filled with coal and if starter cubes  are getting low, please grab a package at Lowes/Walmart.

Information on our little cabin

Cabin - general info

The cabin is a 2 bedroom, one and Half bathroom, 900 square-foot retreat, with a front porch, porch swing, and 2 Adirondack rocking chairs.

The yard

There is little yard space.  PLEASE DO NOT BRING ANY FRONT PORCH FURNITURE OFF THE porch. There are two plastic Adirondack chairs that are ok  for lawn and yard use. The  property line  of our neighbors extends relatively close to the side yard of Star Gazer, and above the driveway in to the cabins. We appreciate consideration to our neighbors as they are full time residents. 

Parking

The road in is "Majestic View Way" and is really more of a shared drive way. Be very careful turning into the road as it is single lane and you can not see over the hill when coming in for other cars/trucks. Please keep the speed very slow as we have 5 homes that share this road. Speed bumps are also installed along the way..

Front porch

The front porch is fully covered and  nicely outfitted with a porch swing and 2 Adirondack chairs.

Wifi

We have wifi though Verizon Hot Spot.

Kitchen

We like to cook and hope you do as well

There is an assortment of pots and pans

Butter knives, table spoons, tea spoons, desert forks, dinner forks

Cooking other ...

Pot & steaming base for pot, broiling pan, baking pan, strainer, larger boiling pot

Cooking utensils

Wooden spoons, 2 spatulas, plastic stirring spoon, whisk, straining spoon, can opener, bottle opener, wine bottle opener,

Knife Block

4 steak knives, scissors, long knife, chef knife, etc

Plates & bowls

4 large plates, 4 medium plates, 4 small plates, 4 bowls, plastic mixing bowls

Glassware

Misc glassware including, full size, rocks size, juice glasses, coffee mugs, wine glasses, champagne  glasses,  etc

Appliances

Stove & oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster 

Miscellaneous

1 roll of paper towels, 

Cooking items

We do our best to keep salt, pepper, mix of spices, olive oil etc.

(please do not throw away empty shakers/bottles - we will refill or replace if we notice them empty)

Bathroom

Towels

There are 2 bath towels and 1 wash cloth per person in the bathroom upon your arrival. A hand towel by the vanity as well. This is a per week.

Soap

One liquid hand soap, one body wash and one shampoo are in the bathroom

Bedrooms

Queen size beds

Linnens, comforter, king size pillows

Dresser

Dresser will be empty.

Closet

Coat hangers, extra blankets, iron & small ironing board, games, vacuum, extra pillows.

Ceiling Fan

A slight breeze can make for a great sleeping environment.

Living room

Wood stove

Wood stove, fireplace gloves, fireplace tools (tongs, shovel and a poker) ash bucket & shovel, hearth firewood rack

Sofa

Sofa with pull out bed 

Smart TV & DVD Player

The TV in the living room is a smart TV and can be used with Netflix, Prime video, Hulu, and other movie services.

Ceiling Fan

The fan is a great way to keep the air moving in the warm and cold months.
